A wide, shallow cone pendant shade in solid brass with a soft brushed finish. Fine directional brushing lines give the metal a pale gold satin sheen, and a short knurled brass socket holder sits on top of the shade on a black fabric cord.

Hang one over a sink or a pair over a kitchen island or dining table. The open cone casts light down onto the work surface, and the bulb sits just at the rim of the shade, so a decorative globe bulb suits it well. The brushed finish is matte and forgiving, and it keeps its soft look with everyday use.

Care and patina

Brushed brass needs very little care. Dust with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive pads. Over time the brass can warm and darken slightly; a gentle brass polish brings back the original tone. See our Care and Patina Guide for more.

Choosing a size. Pick the diameter in the selector above. As a rough guide, an 8 to 12 in shade suits a small island, a bedside or a breakfast nook, 14 to 18 in suits a standard island or dining table, and 22 in works as a single centrepiece over a large table.

Kitchen islands: hang two or three pendants evenly spaced, with the bottom of each shade about 30 to 36 in above the counter.
Dining tables: hang the bottom of the shade about 30 to 34 in above the tabletop, and choose a shade about half to two thirds of the table width.
Cord length: measure from the ceiling to where you want the bottom of the shade, then choose the next cord length up.

Every shade is shaped and hammered by hand in our workshop in Fes, Morocco, a city where coppersmiths have worked the metal for centuries. Small variations in the hammer marks and patina are what make each piece one of a kind.

Solid copper or brass. Raw finishes deepen into a natural patina over time, while oxidized and bronze finishes are made to look aged from the start. Will the colour change over time?
Raw copper and brass develop a living patina that deepens and warms. Oxidized and bronze finishes already look aged and change more slowly.

Is a bulb included?
Bulb and socket details are in each product description. Unless it says otherwise, the bulb is not included.

Do I need an electrician?
