Hammered Bronze Finish Saucer Pendant Light

A wide, shallow saucer pendant in solid brass with a low conical crown and a broad, nearly flat brim. The outside is hand-hammered with a fine pebbled texture in an antique bronze finish, while the underside reflects a warm brass glow. The bulb hangs just below the brim, under a short antique brass socket holder on a black fabric cord.

The low, wide profile suits kitchen islands, dining tables and lower ceilings. Choose a vintage-style filament bulb, as the bulb sits partly below the shade and is part of the look.

Care and patina

The antique bronze-toned finish is applied by hand and is meant to look aged. Dust with a soft dry cloth and avoid metal polishes or harsh cleaners, which would strip the finish. See our Care and Patina Guide for more.

Choosing a size. Pick the diameter in the selector above. As a rough guide, an 8 to 12 in shade suits a small island, a bedside or a breakfast nook, 14 to 18 in suits a standard island or dining table, and 22 in works as a single centrepiece over a large table.

Kitchen islands: hang two or three pendants evenly spaced, with the bottom of each shade about 30 to 36 in above the counter.
Dining tables: hang the bottom of the shade about 30 to 34 in above the tabletop, and choose a shade about half to two thirds of the table width.
Cord length: measure from the ceiling to where you want the bottom of the shade, then choose the next cord length up.

Every shade is shaped and hammered by hand in our workshop in Fes, Morocco, a city where coppersmiths have worked the metal for centuries. Small variations in the hammer marks and patina are what make each piece one of a kind.

Solid copper or brass. Raw finishes deepen into a natural patina over time, while oxidized and bronze finishes are made to look aged from the start. Will the colour change over time?
Raw copper and brass develop a living patina that deepens and warms. Oxidized and bronze finishes already look aged and change more slowly.

Bulb and socket details are in each product description. Unless it says otherwise, the bulb is not included.

Do I need an electrician?
