Details
A swan neck wall sconce in solid brass with a brushed, matte finish. A small round backplate with two side screws holds a slim arm that runs out from the wall, then rises in a smooth S-curve up and over. At the end, a dark antique brass socket with a knurled ring sits on top of a wide, shallow cone shade with a pointed top, and the bottom of the bulb just shows beneath it.
A classic shape for a hallway, over a console, beside a bed or above a bathroom mirror. The brushed finish has a soft, low-shine look that shows fewer marks than polished brass, and the darker socket adds a little contrast.

Care and patina
Dust the brushed brass with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners. See our Care and Patina Guide for more.
How it compares: Closest to our Brushed Brass Gooseneck Cone Shade Wall Sconce, which runs its arm straight into the cone with no visible socket; this one adds a dark antique brass knurled socket above a flatter cone. Our Brushed Brass Gooseneck Wall Sconce with Saucer Shade pairs the same kind of socket with a small flat saucer instead.

Size and hanging guide
Choosing a size. Pick the diameter in the selector above. As a rough guide, an 8 to 12 in shade suits a small island, a bedside or a breakfast nook, 14 to 18 in suits a standard island or dining table, and 22 in works as a single centrepiece over a large table.
- Kitchen islands: hang two or three pendants evenly spaced, with the bottom of each shade about 30 to 36 in above the counter.
- Dining tables: hang the bottom of the shade about 30 to 34 in above the tabletop, and choose a shade about half to two thirds of the table width.
- Cord length: measure from the ceiling to where you want the bottom of the shade, then choose the next cord length up.
Wiring and bulbs. Socket type and bulb details are listed in each product description. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
Not sure which size or cord length? Send us your ceiling height and your table or island size and we will suggest one.
Craftsmanship
Every shade is shaped and hammered by hand in our workshop in Fes, Morocco, a city where coppersmiths have worked the metal for centuries. Small variations in the hammer marks and patina are what make each piece one of a kind.
Materials and care
Solid copper or brass. Raw finishes deepen into a natural patina over time, while oxidized and bronze finishes are made to look aged from the start. Switch the light off and let the shade cool, then dust it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. Read our Care and Patina Guide.
Shipping and returns
Our lights are hand-hammered to order in Fes, and we confirm timing with you before production. See our shipping policy and refund policy.
