Details
A wide, shallow saucer pendant in solid brass with a softly domed top. The outside is a dark, almost black bronze finish with a fine hand-hammered texture that catches small highlights, and the inside is left bright warm brass, so the shade glows gold underneath when lit. A small brass socket holder sits on top, on a black cord.
The broad, low shape throws a wide pool of warm light over a kitchen island or a dining table and suits lower ceilings.

Care and patina
The dark bronze finish is applied by hand and is meant to look aged. Dust with a soft dry cloth and avoid metal polishes or harsh cleaners, which would strip the finish. See our Care and Patina Guide for more.
How it compares: Wider and flatter than our Oiled Black Brass Dome Pendant Light, with a hammered rather than smooth outside. Compared with our Hammered Bronze Finish Saucer Pendant Light, the outside is much darker and the bright brass interior gives a stronger gold glow; it comes in 14 and 18 in only.

Size and hanging guide
Choosing a size. Pick the diameter in the selector above. As a rough guide, an 8 to 12 in shade suits a small island, a bedside or a breakfast nook, 14 to 18 in suits a standard island or dining table, and 22 in works as a single centrepiece over a large table.
- Kitchen islands: hang two or three pendants evenly spaced, with the bottom of each shade about 30 to 36 in above the counter.
- Dining tables: hang the bottom of the shade about 30 to 34 in above the tabletop, and choose a shade about half to two thirds of the table width.
- Cord length: measure from the ceiling to where you want the bottom of the shade, then choose the next cord length up.
Wiring and bulbs. Socket type and bulb details are listed in each product description. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

Craftsmanship
Every shade is shaped and hammered by hand in our workshop in Fes, Morocco, a city where coppersmiths have worked the metal for centuries. Small variations in the hammer marks and patina are what make each piece one of a kind.
Materials and care
Solid copper or brass. Raw finishes deepen into a natural patina over time, while oxidized and bronze finishes are made to look aged from the start. Switch the light off and let the shade cool, then dust it with a soft dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. Read our Care and Patina Guide.
Shipping and returns
