Overview
A hand engraved brass self-draining soap dish for the countertop, made by hand in solid unlacquered brass. The shallow oval tray has a low rounded rim, and the whole inside is engraved with leaves, scrolls and a fine scale pattern. Three small drain holes in a row at the centre let water run off so the bar dries between uses.
Set it beside the bathroom sink, on a bath ledge or by the kitchen faucet. The brass arrives bright and shiny and gradually takes on a warm living patina that darkens the engraved lines and makes the pattern richer.

Care and patina
Rinse off soap residue now and then and dry with a soft cloth. Unlacquered brass darkens gently over time and the engraving gains contrast as it does; if you prefer the bright shine, a little brass polish brings it back. Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive pads. See our Care and Patina Guide for the full routine.
Frequently asked questions
Does the soap sit in water?
No. Three small drain holes at the centre let water run through so the bar can dry.
Does unlacquered brass change colour?
Yes. It arrives shiny and slowly develops a warm patina that settles into the engraving; polish it if you want the bright look back.
What size is it?
It is sized for a standard bar of soap. For exact measurements please contact us before ordering.
See all our brass bath accessories, and pair it with our handmade bathroom and vessel sinks.
Size and install guide
Choosing a size. Each size is listed in the selector above. Measure the inside width and depth of your cabinet or counter cutout, and leave a little room around the sink for a clean fit.
- Farmhouse sinks: check the base cabinet width and the front apron height before you order.
- Vessel sinks: check the faucet height against the rim. A taller faucet or wall mount works best.
- Bar and prep sinks: undermount and drop in installation are both possible.
Installing. Copper and brass are softer than steel, so use a plumber who is comfortable with them. Seal the rim with a neutral cure silicone and avoid harsh solvents on the finish.
Not sure it will fit? Send us your measurements and we will confirm before you order.
Craftsmanship
Every sink is shaped and hammered by hand in our workshop in Fes, Morocco, a city where coppersmiths have worked the metal for centuries. Small variations in the hammer marks are what make each piece one of a kind.
Materials and care
Solid copper or brass, with a natural finish that deepens with use. Rinse after use, dry with a soft cloth, and wash with mild soap. Avoid bleach and abrasive pads. Read the full care guide.
